Isabella

Hi. I am new to the world of ferrets, but I absolutely love being a ferret mom! I've had Isabella for just over a month now.

We are new to the ferret worl

We are new to the ferret world as well, but have 3 now. The are wonderful pets!! We have 2 girls, Sally and Heaven, and a boy, Gus-Gus. Do you have a problem with biting? Our first ferret is a biter, but can be great sometimes too??

Isabella chewed everything wh

Isabella chewed everything when I first got her at 8 weeks old. She chewed fingers and furnture and destroyed her toys. The biggest problem was her love of chewing electrical cords and computer cables. I bought "Time Out" bitter spray to put on electical cords and those Marshall Ferret Edible SuperChew Toys so she had something she was allowed to chew. If she was really bad she went in the cage for a few minutes as punishment. Now she is much better and almost never bites people, and rarely chews where she's not supposed to. I think it may also be that she just grew out of it.
